Aoji Shitodo (鵐蒿雀 Shitodo Aoji) is the youngest of the Shitodo siblings, who are Hooaka Shitodo and Kuroji Shitodo. They is very shy and insecure, always following their sisters around.

Personality[]

Aoji is described as being gentle at heart, but shy and meek, always following their older sisters around. They is friendly and respectful towards everyone. They doesn't have a very proactive personality, always preferring Kuroji to do all the work.

Abilities[]

Create whirlpools

Aoji can create whirlpools and everything related to water, like liquids and gases, or even solids.

Summoning sea creatures[]

Aoji can summon several types of sea creatures at will. They use them for various activites such as fighting, eating, and masturbating; however, in exchange for their time, the sea creatures nibble on Aoji's soul.

Background Information[]

Name[]

Aoji (蒿雀), her given name, is the Japanese word for the black-faced bunting, a kind of bird. Ao (蒿) is also the word for blue, fitting her appearance and affinity for water. Her family name, Shitodo (鵐), uses a kanji which is used in an alternative spelling of black-faced bunting.

Design[]

They has short wavy green hair and green eyes. They wears the characteristic Shitodo outfit: a black necktie and puffy shorts with a long, hooded, blue jacket.

Aoji's Appearances[]

Evanescent Existence

Like everyone else, Aoji and their sisters are spirited away to Mugenri and ends up in the Spacetime Whirpool.

While trapped in the whirpool, they runs into Tsurubami Senri disguised as Tsubakura Enraku. At first glance, she realizes that Aoji is weak and is disappointed. Out of frustration, they asks Aoji to attack them, much to Aoji's confusion. After Aoji is defeated, the fake Tsubakura explains that whoever makes it to the goal first gets to leave this place.

After being defeated by Tsubakura, she runs into Yabusame Houren who messes up Aoji's name, even after being corrected. Aoji apologizes for having a tough name to remember and asks if Yabusame was spirited away as well. They then remembers that everyone has been convinced that if they defeat Yabusame, they'll find a way to escape and get a prize. Reluctantly, she attacks Yabusame, only to be defeated again. After that, Aoji gives Tsubakura's location. Eventually the Shitodo siblings reunite and set up on Mugenri.

Aoji, along with Hooaka Shitodo, are only mentioned in the prologue. Apparently, the Shitodo sisters are having problems adjusting to Mugenri. Aoji, because of her shy personality, doesn't do anything and was expecting Kuroji to do all the work, much to the latter's chagrin. In order to advertise her family and have some funds, Kuroji decides to resolve the incident.

Relationships[]

  • The Shitodo Family (Hoojiro, Kuroji & Hooaka) Being the youngest of the siblings, Aoji is often left with menial tasks and chores by Hooaka and Kuroji. Being the weakest as well, Aoji occasionally feels insecure about whether they are a burden to their older siblings.

Additional Information[]

  • A running gag is that nobody seems to remember well their name. Yabusame didn't remember because of their airheadness and Hooaka didn't remember because they is too carefree to care about it.
